<p>PURPOSE:To protect the data of a memory by counting up rewriting number data at every rewriting of the memory, detecting whether the rewriting number data exceeds a prescribed value or not at the time of a rewriting processing and prohibiting a data writing to an area after the data exceeds the prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The writing number data is stored at every storing area of the rewriting unit of a data carrier 4 and the writing number data is counted up at the time of writing in the respective storing areas for the respective rewriting units. Then, the number of the writings at the present time is stored, whether the number of the writings exceeds the prescribed number or not is detected by a host controller 1, when it is detected that the number of the writings exceeds a limit, the writing of the data of the storing area thereafter is prohibited in response to this detecting output. Thereby, the writing data in the respective storing areas is not written exceeding the prescribed value but the data is constantly protected.</p> |
