A variable speed rotor (7) forms with fixed components one or more displacement areas (11,12), to which inlet and outlet ports (20,33) are connected. The inlet ports are connected to a feed system and the outlet ones to a pressure chamber (35), connected to the feed system via a control valve (40), discharging a regulated quantity into a passage (19) in the system and a further one to an external outlet. The pressure drop of the flow to the external outlet is tapped off at a metering shutter and fed to both plunger faces. The metering shutter is formed in a working flow passage (38), extending radially from the valve. Together with system passage, into which the other flow is discharged, it is spaced in the axial direction of the plunger for a distance (c) less than the width (b) of an annular space (52) in the plunger formed between the first face (53) and a third one (56). The annular chamber is connected by a chamber (50) in the plunger to the pressure chamber (35). |
