PURPOSE:To operate equipment with a remote control and to prevent a danger from being incurred by providing a function which does not respond to an operation instruction from a controller for a remote control, to an adapter connected to control object equipment. CONSTITUTION:Control object equipment (iron) 29 is connected through a plug socket to an on off control means 23 of an adapter 20. By operating an input means (switch) 22 of the adapter 20, a control means 23 executes the on off control and the iron 29 and a power source are turned on and off. The adapter 20 is connected through a communicating means 21 and a communicating line 7 to a controller 5 of another room and the on off condition of the adapter 20 is displayed by a display lamp 28. By the operation of a button 27 of the controller 5, a stop control instruction is sent to the adapter 20, then the control means 23 comes to be the off condition. Even when an operation control instruction is sent to the adapter 20 by the operation of the button 27, an arithmetic means 24 stops an on instruction to the control means 23.
