PURPOSE:To make small the range of variation in the room cooling capability input and especially the value of the lowest input by providing a bypass channel which is connected to the suction piping side of a compressor through a flow rate controller from the discharge piping side of the compressor and operating at a set frequency and providing a solenoid valve in the bypass channel which opens only when the room humidity is lower than a set humidity. CONSTITUTION:A bypass channel which is connected to the suction piping side of a compressor through a flow rate controller 25 from the discharge piping side of a three-phase compressor 18 is provided. At first the operation frequency and room humidity are read in a LSI 14 to judge by comparison of the operation frequency with set frequency by a comparator 3. And, after making judgement by comparison of the room humidity with a set humidity, a transistor 15 for switching is turned ON only when the operation frequency matches a set frequency and the room humidity is below a set humidity and by the signal of the LSI 14, and a relay 16 is turned ON and a solenoid valve 26 opens. With this arrangement during the lowest frequency operation for room cooling, it is possible to attempt drastic lowering of the lowest input than in air conditioners of frequency conversion device mounting type.
