PURPOSE:To permit a grinding part to be efficiently cooled, by forming the grinding part into a spiral protrusive shape so as to generate a condition such that a grinding wheel performs grinding interruptedly further supplies coolant fluid to be easily scattered to a ground surface. CONSTITUTION:A grinding wheel 9, being rotated, interruptedly grinds a ground workpiece by a grinding part 14 forming a spiral protrusive shape. Simultaneously with the grinding, coolant fluid is forced to be inducted into a cavity part 20 of the grinding wheel 9 through a delivery hole 6 in a spindle 5 from a device connected to an upper end of the spindle 5. This coolant fluid, after it passes through an introducing hole 13 of a bed metal 11 and a hole part 15 of the grinding part 14 from said cavity part 20, is supplied to a clearance between the grinding part 14 and the ground workpiece. The grinding wheel 9, which supplies the coolant fluid in such a manner as in the above, cools the grinding part 14 and the ground workpiece by the coolant fluid releasing it by centrifugal force to the outside of the grinding wheel 9 through a grooved part 16 of the grinding part 14.
