PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of coolant supply line and to minimize the heat loss by providing a heat baffle plate made of good heat conductive metal to a 1st load flange and providing a condenser directly or with a heat conduction plate between to a 2nd heat load flange. CONSTITUTION:The evapolated gas ascends to reach the condensing part 6 of distillation tower, and is cooled by the condenser 5 to be liquefied. Dickson rings, etc., are packed in a packing part 7 so that the contact between the liquefied gas and the evaporated gas is more uniformly and efficiently carried out. Hydrogen isotope gas is introduced from a gas line 11 and is distillated in low temp. for a certain hour until a steady state is made, and then is taken out from as lines 11 through nozzle provided to the bottom part, the packing part 7 and the upper part of the distillation tower. The gas taken out from the bottom part of distillation tower contains heavy hydrogen of high concn., and the gas taken out from the upper part of distillation tower contains heavy hydrogen of low concn.
