PURPOSE:To enable an automobile to always ensure sufficient brake force, by switching a preset value, in which a pressure reduction instruction must be output when an antiskid control is performed, to a value lower than when the automobile is in running on a general road, when a bad road decision means decides the automobile to be running on a bad road. CONSTITUTION:An antiskid control unit 1, when a brake is applied by supplying brake fluid pressure, generated in a master cylinder 3 by depressing a brake pedal 2, to a brake device 4 and when a wheel speed, detected by a wheel speed sensor 5, agrees with a predetermined value, actuates a pressure adjusting valve in an antiskid fluid pressure control device 6, provided in a brake fluid pressure piping system, reducing a fluid pressure in the brake device 4. Here the above described unit 1, when an automobile is decided to be running on a bad road by a bad road decision means which decides whether or not the running road surface is in a bad road condition, controls a preset value, for a pressure reducing instruction to be output, to be switched to a value lower than when the automobile is running on an ordinary road.
