PURPOSE:To facilitate an input, and at the same time, to correctly input an information by substituting the reading of a previously prepared bar code by a bar code reader, for the operation of an operation board. CONSTITUTION:An input switching part 12 outputs a dial code from the operation board 11 to a function selecting part 14 as a rule, and when it receives a switch instruction from the operation board 11, it outputs the output of a reader connecting part 13 to the function selecting part 14, as substituting it for the information from the operation board 11. The reader connecting part 13 translates the code, read by the bar code reader 20, and makes it coincide with the code, to be inputted to the function selecting part 14 from the operation board 11, and outputs it to the input switching part 12. As the result, the previously prepared bar code, for instance, of a telephone book, an abbreviated dial book, a system data table, etc., is read by the bar code reader, and it can be substituted for the operation of the operation board.
