PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a host control means by storing regulations concerning an error control process and a reception completing process provided on the host control means in the table of a line adapter. CONSTITUTION:Information which specifies a processing concerning the error control and the reception completion is written by the host control means in the addresses corresponding to characters in the table 12 of the line adapter 1. An operation circuit 13 is operated at every character included in a message based on the contents of the table and collates the operated result with a block check sequence so as to check the normality of a received block. Thus, the requests of the function and the instantanousness to the host control part are reduced and an predictive purpose can be attained at low cost.
