PURPOSE:To enable automatic removal of burrs in conformity to the shape of a place where burrs are generated, by a method wherein high pressure liquid is sprayed in a pulseform manner against the back side of a flexible lamellar material the surface side of which is processed to form a grinding part, and the back thereof is pressed against the spot, where burrs are generated, of a workpiece CONSTITUTION:Grinding grain is distributed on the surface side of a lamellar rubber sheet 5 having flexibility to form a grinding part. A nozzle 6 is situated in a manner to point to the back of the rubber sheet 5, and high pressure liquid is discharged. The grinding surface of the rubber sheet 5 is brought into contact with a burr-generated spot 9 of a workpiece 7, and when high pressure liquid is intermittently discharged in a pulseform manner through the nozzle 6, the grinding surface is pressed in a pulseform manner against the burr-generated spot. With this state, the workpiece 7 is moved, and burrs are continuously removed. Since the sheet material 5 for grinding, e.g. rubber, is flexible, it also follows the uneven surface of the burr-generated spot 9, and can automatically and reliably remove burrs.
