PURPOSE:To perform test pattern printing at high speed by printing dot matrices for image data sequentially and alternately without overlapping them. CONSTITUTION:Image data 1 is composed of a plurality of dot matrices oo-mn. These dot matrices are distributed to each printing head without overlapping them and printed sequentially and alternately. As a result, image data 1 consisting of dot matrices such as B, Y, M, C is obtained. For the image data, each different color is used per dot, so that printing quality is slightly inferior because the image data is of a mixed color as a whole. However, no inconvenience is experienced in determining an image for test pattern and the result is obtained at high speed. |
