A centrifuge comprising a bowl 16 supported on a shaft 12, having a gimbal-like mounting 11 and a resilient bearing 19, is provided with a neutralizer ring 18 fixed to the drum 16 around the drum mount 15 such that the neutralizer ring 18 neutralizes the effects of imbalance in a predetermined weight of particulate material 17 and causes the geometric axis and the instantaneous dynamic axis of the rotor system to intersect at said gimbal-like mounting thereby reducing reactive forces exerted on said gimbal-like mounting. |
