PURPOSE:To enable a paper feed direction required by a user to be certainly selectively operated, by providing a controller for making a paper feed part start action by a displacement signal when a lug is operated. CONSTITUTION:A signal from a paper feed switch 8 is treated with a controller 13, and a paper feed motor 15 is so driven as to answer to the signal with a paper feed motor drive circuit 14. Then, paper is fed with a paper feed part 2. In the case where a paper feed switch lug 3 is pushed in an axial direction, a paper feed switch 8 is closed with a projection 3a provided at the paper feed switch lug 3. Since a projected amount of the projection 3a is set constant, even through the paper feed switch 3 is rotated while being pushed down, a closed state of the switch 8 can be kept. Therefore, minute paper feed can be carried out in a rotary direction.
