PURPOSE:To make good polishing performable without entailing any damage to form accuracy, by setting up plural abrasive bodies polishing the work surface of a workpiece almost uniformly on a holder surface via an elastic support part consisting of each elastic body. CONSTITUTION:In this polishing tool 1, each abrasive body consisting of the pellet or the like solidified with felt, abrasive cloth or abrasive grains of diamond, borazone or the like by a binder is almost uniformly distributed and attached to a spherical form holder 2 by means of bonding via an elastic support part 4 consisting of each elastic body of rubber and a spring or the like. And, when this polishing tool 1 is set up as opposed to a work 5 and polishing is carried out in making it into rotation and rocking motion, each abrasive body separately traces a work surface 5a so that it is polished with light pushing pressure without unevenness. In this connection, at time of using abrasive cloth or felt, free abrasive grains are interposed. Thus, good polishing can be done without entailing any damage to accuracy of form.
