PURPOSE:To realize a high printing density and to prevent the occurrence of printing shift and color shift, by a method wherein, on one surface of a substrate an accepting layer for accepting a dye or pigment which is transferred from a thermal transferring sheet is provided, and on the back of the substrate a base having a porous or foam construction is provided. CONSTITUTION:On one surface of a substrate 1 an accepting layer 3 for accepting a dye or pigment which is transferred from a thermal transferring sheet is provided, and on the back thereof a base 4 is formed. The base 4 has a porous or foam construction as a whole. As a material for the substrate 1, a plastic, coated paper, or cellulose fiber paper such as a cast coated paper is used. As a material for the accepting layer 3, all the material may be used, so long as they have been conventionally used for the accepting layer of this type of the thermal transfer sheet. for example, a polyester resin, a polyacrylate resin, or a polycarbonate resin, can be used. By providing an intermediate layer 2, the printing density can be further enhanced because of its cushion properties. |
