PURPOSE:To realize a smooth sheet feed, to obtain a sharp and high density transfer image, and to eliminate the possibility of curling due to the heat in transfer, by a method wherein, on one surface of a substrate having a porous or foam construction, an accepting layer for accepting a dye or pigment which is transferred from a thermal transferring sheet is provided. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 1 has a porous or foam construction as a whole. On one surface of the substrate 1 an accepting layer 2 for accepting a dye or pigment which is transferred from a thermal transferring sheet is provided. The accepting layer 2 is made of a mixed resin of a satd. polyester and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer. By providing an intermediate layer 3, the printing density can be further enhanced because of its cushion properties. On the other hand, a base 4 is provided as necessary for improving the running properties of a sheet in a transfer device. |
