PURPOSE:To make channel presetting operations easier, by providing a channel preset inputting means, means for storing the content of the inputting means, mode switching means which switches receiving and storing modes to each other, character signal generating means for displaying contents to be preset at the time of storing mode by means of characters, and channel selection controlling means. CONSTITUTION:When a receiving/storing mode change-over switch 14 is in the storing mode, a channel selection controller 12 controls and causes a character signal generator 11 to display the menu for channel preset on a picture tube 9. Then the controller 12 fetches channel data, displaying data, fine adjustment data, etc., inputted through an input means (remote control light receiving circuit) 15 and controls the character signal generator 11 to display the data from the input means 15 on a prescribed position of the menu display on the picture tube 9. Moreover, the data are stored in each prefixed position of a storage device 13. Accordingly, contents of channel preset can be inputted successively in accordance with the display on the screen and, as a result, the presetting operation becomes easier and incidence of misoperations can be reduced.
