PURPOSE:To enable the manufacturing of a long-scaled superconductive wire by filling a pipe, which is formed by dispersing copper oxide particles so as to be made of copper or copper alloy, with powder which contains a group IIIa element and an alkaline earth metal element and providing this pipe with an extension wire process and next performing heat treatment of this pipe. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 1, which is formed by dispersing copper oxide particles so as to be made of copper or copper alloy and has easy processibility, is filled with powder 2 which contains a group IIIa element and an alkaline earth metal element. The pipe 1 filled with this powder 2 is provided with an extension wire process consisting of extruding and drawing processes and the like so that the pipe is contracted to a desired wire diameter and a small-diameter wire 3 is obtained. Since the pipe 1 has excellent processibility in this extension wire process, a trouble such as disconnection does not occur. Hence, a long- scaled superconductive wire can be obtained.
