HONEYCOMB-SHAPED DESULFURIZING AGENT AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To make difference of deposition temp. distribution small and to improve durability by uniformly dispersing and depositing metallic oxide (absorbent) of sulfur compd. having iron oxide as an essential component between fibers of a carrier consisting of inorganic fiber and on the surface layer thereof. CONSTITUTION:A water-resistant sheet consisting of heat resistant inorganic fiber is obtained by mixing organic fiber such as layon fiber which is hydrophilic and good in underwater dispersibility and free from thermal plastic properties with heat resistant inorganic fiber by means of an organic binder-contg. aq. dispersion liquid for manufacturing the sheet and manufacturing the sheet. This water-resistant sheet is immersed into a slurry soln. contg. metallic oxide (absorbent) of sulfur compd. having iron oxide as an essential component or its precursor to deposit prescribed amount and thereafter dried. Then, it is made to a single-stepped article by corrugation work and a honeycomb-shaped desulfurizing agent is produced by laminating or subjecting it to winding work in the existence of an inorganic binder and thereafter drying and calcining it.
