PURPOSE:To rapidly execute the file transfer between different types with a virtual file by providing a control means to convert and read actual file data read from an actual file to virtual file data with a data converting means. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with a parameter to designate a document type to show the structure of the virtual file of a command, a processor 41 loads a firmware (converting program) to convert actual file data read from an actual file to virtual file data from a disk device 3 to an internal memory 44 and activates this. Consequently, when a driving controller 43 drives and controls the disk device 3 and the actual file data are read on a bus 42, the converting program on the internal memory 44 converts the read actual file data to the virtual file data and outputs them onto a system bus 2. The file transferring program to run on a CPU 1 transfers the virtual file data to other computer system which is not shown in a figure.
