PURPOSE:To automatically perform a switching between on-line current and standby systems by performing communication with current and standby computers at a prescribed period and switching a line switching device from the current computer to the standby computer in accordance with the confirmation results of mutual states. CONSTITUTION:After the operation of an on-line current system 1 is started, a current/standby mutual confirmation processing program (health check processing) of the on-line standby system is started at an arbitrary time by an operator. The started health check processing transmits a message through a communication line 6 coupling on-line current and standby systems at a prescribed period. When the number of time of no response reaches a prescribed value after a prescribed time, it is judged that trouble occurs in the on-line current system 1, and a line switching device 5 is switched from the on-line current system 1 to the on-line standby system 2.
