PURPOSE:To learn variation of the density of air accurately and quickly under climbing operation by obtaining an optimal value of learning correction factor for every area updated by a feedback correction factor corresponding to distributing state thereof then adding the optimal value evenly to the learning correction factor. CONSTITUTION:A basic fuel injection quantity setting means C operates a basic fuel injection quantity based on a value fed from an engine operating condition detecting means A for detecting intake air quantity, rotation, etc. and means F for retrieving a learning correction factor for every area sets a learning correction factor for every rotation and basic fuel injection quantity. Means K for setting the optimal learning correction factor for every area sets the optimal learning correction factor for every area updated by a feedback correction factor based on a value detected through an air-fuel ratio detecting means B on the basis of distribution state thereof, then means L for correcting the learning correction factor evenly adds an even learning correction factor to the optimal learning correction factor and corrects it.
