摘要 PURPOSE:To attain data measurement from a first cycle by setting a bow direction at a first prescribed angle, from when a model ship arrives at a constant speed, starting the rotation of the model ship with a towing rotary shaft vertical to the water surface as a center, rotating the model ship by a second prescribed angle only and loading it on a test starting point on a prescribed test locus. CONSTITUTION:Before starting accelerating of the model ship, the bow is set at the first prescribed angle in the lengthwise direction of a tank, next, the model ship is accelerated in a prescribed slanting direction to the lengthwise direction of the tank in a same posture and arrived at a constant speed at the time of the test, from this point of time, the model ship starts rotating with the towing rotary shaft vertical to the water surface as a center and is rotated by the second prescribed angle only. Thus, from the time when the rotation of the angle is completed, test data can be measured, the effective use of the length of the tank is executed in order to accelerate it in the slanting direction of the tan and also the measurement of the test data can be started from the point of a phase O of a periodic motion locus.
