PURPOSE:To enable a user to easily discriminate an error position in a source by outputting an error message, where the error position is indicated with its detailed number and detailed description part sequential number in the source program of the stepwise detailed system, at the time of the occurrence of error. CONSTITUTION:An object generating part 17 outputs the error message when detecting error at the time of compiling processing. At this time, a row number converting part 19 uses a row number conversion table 16a of a row number conversion table file 16 to convert the row number of the row, where error is detected, to corresponding detailed number and detailed description part sequential number and displays them in the error message. The generated error message is transferred to a terminal 20 and is displayed out. The user uses the detailed number and the detailed description part sequential number displayed in the error message to refer to the source program of the stepwise detailed system, thus easily discriminating the error position.
