PURPOSE:To enable the automatic assembly of a belt to pulleys in a narrow, part by pushing a belt held by the four pins of holding members in between pulleys utilizing its elasticity in a device for automatically assembling a rubber belt to said pulleys. CONSTITUTION:When a belt 1 is fed to holding members 2, 3, the whole assembly unit is lowered by means of a Z-axis air cylinder. Then, together with the rotation of a cam train 24, a Y-slider 18 slides and the belt is moved to pulleys 4, 5 side and passes the boss 23 of the pulley 4. Then, the holding members 2, 3 slides to the right and left to spread the belt 1. After that, the Y-slider 18 is moved again to introduce the upper part of the belt 1 onto the grooves of the pulleys 4, 5 with the lower part of the belt 1 left hooked on the boss 23 of the pulley 4. Here, a slider 6 is lowered by means of the cam train 24 and the lower part of the belt 1 is hooked to the downside of the pulleys 4, 5. Then, the holding members 2, 3 are retracted and the belt 1 comes off of finger pins falling onto the grooves of the pulleys 4, 5, thereby, completing assembling.
