PURPOSE:To reduce a maintenance job such as water supplement by conducting a specified amount of charge as recovery charge at an interval of a given cycle of charge-discharge cycles. CONSTITUTION:A specified amount of charge more than that of usual charge is conducted as recovery charge at an interval of a given cycle of charge- discharge cycles of a lead-acid battery which periodically repeats charge- discharge. For example, one cycle per day of charge-discharge is repeated and a large amount of charge which is 110-120% more than discharge capacity and more than usual charging amount is conducted every 6 cycles as recovery charge. The mean charging capacity is 103-110% of discharge capacity. By this proper charge, overcharge is prevented and a decrease in capacity is also prevented. Therefore, a maintenance job such as water supplement can be reduced. |
