PURPOSE:To speed up the input of graphic data and to allow the titled system to correspond to various graphics by allowing an exclusive hardware to execute general processing common with various graphics and allowing a host computer to execute individual processing specific in each graphic. CONSTITUTION:General processing common with various graphics for the input and correction of images, vector conversion, character recognition is rapidly processed by an exclusive hardware such as a graphic input device 1 and the processed result is transferred to the host computer 9 through a data transmitting means. On the other hand, individual processing specific for each graphic is executed by the host computer 9 and then converted into computer aided design (CAD) data. Consequently, the input of graphic data is speed up, correspondence to various graphics can be attained and consistency with the CAD system can be improved.
