<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate reduction of operating speed due to existence of gaps to achieve high speed process by setting the speed of rotation of driving means in a first direction higher than that in a second direction. CONSTITUTION:A sheet is picked up by rotation of driving means 21 in a first direction, and is transferred by rotation thereof in a second direction to be printed or the like. In this case, after completion of transfer of a sheet, a next sheet is picked up, gap between sheets being so large as to reduce the operating speed. Then, when the speed of rotation of the driving means in the first direction to pick up a sheet is set to be higher than the speed thereof in the second direction, reduction of the operating speed due to gaps between sheets can be minimized, permitting high speed process. As the load of the driving means during picking up of sheets is lighter, the speed of rotation in the first direction can be increased with no need of enlargement of the driving means and consequently with no increase of cost.</p> |
