PURPOSE:To form gadolinia efficiently by providing a heat evaporation device for gadolinium metal materials, an ionization recovery device to recover isotopes of gadolinium out of the gas from the heating device and a gadolinia conversion chamber. CONSTITUTION:After being heated up at around 1,800 deg. K and evaporated into gas (a) by an evaporation device 1, gadolinium isotopes <157>Gd is rectified by a collimater 3 and led to an ionization recovery device 4. Here exciting laser beam of approximately 400nm wave length confirming to the resonance absorption line of gadolinium isotopes <157>Gd and electromagnetic laser beam of 300-400nm wave length are irradiated simultaneously to ionize with priority the gadolinium isotopes <157>Gd having a large neutron absorption area out of the gadolinium isotopes and adhere the same in the form of gadolinium isotopes <157>Gd being concentrated by 40-50% to a recovery plate 5 of the ionization recovery device 4 by electromagnetic field.
