PURPOSE:To realize the automatic restoration of a printer by initializing the printer and receiving a telegram again when a prescribed code is detected. CONSTITUTION:A detecting part 26 of a terminal controller T/C20A detects the abnormal communication of a printer 10A in a working unable state where a main control part 14 of the printer 10A is unable to normally process the circuit data during the reception of data. A transmitting part 21a adds a prescribed code to the head of the untransmitted data and transmits a telegram again. When a detecting part 11a of the printer 10A detects said code, an instructing part 12a delivers an instruction for initialization. Thus the part 14 is set free from its working unable state and clears the stored data of a reception buffer 6 to receive again the subsequent retransmitted data.
