PURPOSE:To permit data transfer at a high speed with simple constitution by changing the output electric signal of an IC or electronic apparatus to a light signal by a electrooptic elements, then outputting the signal. CONSTITUTION:The electrooptic element formed with an electrooptic material between a pair of electrodes is provided on a printed circuit board in correspondence to the output terminals of the IC and is so constituted that one electrode of a pair of the electrodes can be connected to the output terminals to modulate the light from a light source to the modulation light corresponding to the output electric signal from the output terminals by the electrooptic element. This light is outputted to the other IC. More specifically, the electrooptic element 5 is used as a means for converting the output electric signal to the light signal and outputting said signal. A sufficient electric signal effect arises in the electrooptic material between a pair of the electrodes simply when a small voltage is impressed between the electrodes with such electrooptic element. The light projected to the electrooptic material is, therefore, modulated and outputted when the output electric signal of the IC or electronic apparatus is impressed between the electrodes. The high-speed data transfer between the ICs or electronic apparatus having many input/output terminals is thereby permitted.
