METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC FEEDING OF BAR MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To realize miniaturization of an automatic bar material feeding device, by so constituting that a feed bar is being kept free once from its reciprocation course during taking in operation of the next bar material and the bar material is fed into by a feed bar and an advancing device. CONSTITUTION:A feed bar 20 is retired along its reciprocating cource C and the residual material 30 is being made to remove and fall off by this bar material supply device 10 on one side of which a bar material group 24 is made mountable while the remainder 30 of the bar material whose processing has been completed by a succeeding processing machine is being held by a finger chuck provided on the tip of the feed bar 20. Then after the feed bar 20 has been retired up to a predetermined position, and the feed bar 20 is freed once to a freeing position C' from a course C by a freeing device 50 of the feed bar 20. Simultaneously with the above matter, a feed plate 61 of a bar material advancing device 60 is positioned to a position adjoining to the rear end of the bar material group 24 and the fresh bar material is being sent by action of the same device 60.
