PURPOSE:To easily perform the accurate focusing by diverging a laser beam for focusing into two and emitting these beams so as to cross at the focusing positions from two irradiation optical systems. CONSTITUTION:With the titled laser welding equipment, the laser beam for focusing emitted from a laser beam generator 12 for focusing is guided to a beam splitter 16 via a beam splitter 15. The laser beam is diverged into two by the beam splitter 16 and emitted from the two irradiation optical systems 13 and 14 so as to cross at these focusing positions. In case the distances between members 23 and 24 to be welded and both the irradiation optical systems 13 and 14 are adjusted to perform the focusing of the laser beam, in case the focusing position of the laser beam for focusing is coincident with the members 23 and 24 to be welded, the laser beam is seen at a point on the members 23 and 24 to be welded. On the other hand, in case the members 23 and 24 to be welded are deviated from the focusing positions of both the irradiation optical systems 13 and 14, the laser beam is seen at two points on the members 23 and 24 to be welded. By this method, the accurate focusing can be easily performed. |
