<p>PURPOSE:To always perform a stable tracking at the time of fast forward reproducing or rewinding reproducing by controlling the tracking of a rotary head based on one tracking detecting signal among respective reproduced signals obtained by one scanning of a recording track. CONSTITUTION:When a recorded magnetic tape recorded in a standard mode or a half speed mode is reproduced at a magnetic tape traveling speed higher than that of the standard mode or the half speed mode (at the time of fast forward reproducing or rewinding reproducing), the tracking of the rotary head is controlled based on one tracking detection signal out of respective reproduced signals obtained by scanning the recording track on the magnetic tape once with the rotary head. Thus, the stable tracking is always performed.</p> |
