<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a stable reproduced picture which is completely free from noise and has a high S/N, by sampling a reproduced video signal in plural positions and performing the tracking control so that the minimum sampled value is maximum. CONSTITUTION:When a track pattern T recorded on a magnetic tape is different from a head locus H for reproducing, the reproduced video signal is amplified, and a reproduced signal (a) due to envelope detection waves to have parts in the high level and those in the low level. This reproduced video signal is sampled in plural positions, whose number is large as much as possible, in one field section to detect the minimum value, and this value is prescribed as the reproduced video signal level of one field. Tracking of a servo circuit is automatically changed, and preceding and succeeding reproduced video signal levels are compared with each other, and tracking is so controlled that the level is maximum. Thus, the stable reproduced picture which is completely free from noise and has a high S/N is obtained unless a tape where noise cannot be eliminated by the manual tracking generation is used.</p> |
