发明名称 OPTICAL COMPUTING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To permit parallel execution of logical operations at a high speed by disposing plural sets of 1st light sources which emit light when inputted with an input signal and 2nd light sources which emit light when inputted with the signal inverted from the signal for the 1st light sources into pairs thereby constituting the 1st luminous surface and the 2nd luminous surface having the same structure as the structure of the 1st luminous surface. CONSTITUTION:The input data to flicker the array-shaped light sources 1, 2 are controlled by driving devices 8, 9. The luminous fluxes emitted from the light sources 1, 2 are collimated by lens arrays 3, 4. These plural collimated beams of light are multiplexed by a half mirror 5 and are transmitted through a space light modulator 6. The desired operation can be executed by placing the aperture of the modulator 6 by a control device 10 to the position determined by the kind of the logical operation. The light transmitted through the modulator 6 is detected by a detector array 7 and is digitized and binarized by an A/D converter 11. The parallel execution of the logical operations at the high speed is thereby permitted.
