PURPOSE:To obtain a thin-type and light-weight device capable of reducing pressure loss by arranging a filter in such a way that all the surfaces other than the suction port of a sirocco fan are enveloped. CONSTITUTION:An air purifier is provided with a horizontal sirocco fan 1, a motor 2, a prefilter 3, a suction chamber 4, a pressurization chamber 5 and main filter 8. The main filter 8 has a U-shaped cross section, and is arranged in such a manner that it envelopes all the surface other than the suction port of the horizontal sirocco fan 1. In addition, the filter 8 is directly mounted on the bottom of a member constituting the suction chamber 4; the fan casing is omitted. Subsequently purified air is uniformly distributed throughout the chamber because the air jet ports are arranged on five surfaces, and thereby the noise level is reduced. |
