摘要 PURPOSE:To safely measure a gap with high efficiency and high accuracy without generating a scouring or tight contact, by supporting a driving wheel axle in a freely revolvable manner and subsequently shaking a bearing box or a pinion while revolving the same to measure the gap of the bearing of the driving wheel axle. CONSTITUTION:A driving wheel axle is transported above a measuring apparatus and, after a wheel is placed on a wheel support table 151, a liquid cylinder 152 is operated to allow the table 151 to rise and fall to arrange the center holes at both ends of an axle 2 at the same height as a support center 81 and, subsequently, a fluid cylinder 82 is operated to move the center 81 connected thereto to grasp the axle 1 and, thereafter, the table 151 is retracted downwardly. Next, a fluid cylinder 92 is operated to connect a gear box 5 and the cylinder 92 by a connection jig 91 and a liquid cylinder 122 is operated to connect the cylinder 22, which is preliminarily connected to the gear 111 of a speed reducer by a connection jig 121, and a pinion shaft 62 by a connecting jig 113. Then, the box 5 is shaken with respect to the axle 1 by the cylinder 92 while the axle 1 is rotated by a motor 11 and the displacement of shaking is measured by a measuring part 10 to measure the gap of the bearing 4 of a driving gear 3.
