A means in connection with enclosed electrical apparatus for use in locations where the environmental factors may cause corrosion and there is an additional risk due to the occurrence of inflammable and explosive gas mixtures, comprises a gas conduit (5) integral with the electrical cable or cables (6, 6') connected to the apparatus. The gas conduit (5) has an internal diameter which is less than the quenching diameter of the gas mixtures in question. A pressure relieving nozzle (7) is provided on a free end of the gas conduit (5) extending into the enclosures (8) and may be adapted to function as an explosion-blocking device. |
