The present invention relates to a method by means of which stained glass can be imitated by the vitrifying of a translucent or transparent direct print I or of a translucent or transparent transfer-type application D on the flat side of a cast printed glass or the like VCI (Figure A1) or on the flat side of a glass with two flat sides 2FP or between two glass panes, one of the glasses being of the cast and printed type VCI or the like (Figure A2) or between two glass panes with two flat sides 2FP. The print may be applied directly to the glass and vitrified. A vitrifiable transfer can also be used. This method according to the invention is intended for the manufacture of decorative elements or of imitation stained glass decorations. <IMAGE>
