This stove comprises a hearth 1 on top of which is placed an outlet 6 communicating with a bundle of pipes 8 emerging into a manifold (collector) 9 connected to a flue (smoke duct) 10, the said hearth, fitted with water-circulation firedogs, being closed by a sliding door 4 allowing continuous fire operation. It is characterised in that the outlet 6 is equipped with a retractable catalyser 13 which is controlled by the movement of the door 4 of the hearth 1 by means of a linkage system 17, so that the door, when closed, keeps the catalyser 13 in the operating position and so that, conversely, when opened, the door of the hearth releases the catalyser which swings under gravity into the non-operating position. <IMAGE>
