PURPOSE:To shorten the time for development and to reduce the size of a device by executing pressure transferring and heating simultaneously by a press roller having a heat transfer layer on the surface and a heating element fixed without contact with the press roller. CONSTITUTION:The press rollers 1 and 2 are driven by motors. The heating element 4 is subjected to voltage control by a control circuit to maintain the specified surface temp. of the press roller 1. The surface of an image forming sheet 5 and the surface of a developing sheet 6 are mated with each other and are passed between the press rollers, by which the press transferring and heating are simultaneously executed. The time required for development is thereby shortened. The stages which are heretofore executed by two devices are reduced to one and, therefore, the size of the device is reduced.
