PURPOSE:To prevent partial flow of finishing oil and to uniformly supply the finishing oil to yarn coming into contact with a vertical face connected to the lower end of an upward slant through which a spray nozzle of finishing oil is bored, by setting a protrusion to lead the finishing oil on the upward slant. CONSTITUTION:In a guide for traveling yarn also used as an oiling device provided with an upward slant 4 equipped with an outlet of an spray nozzle 2 for a finishing oil and a vertical yarn contact face 5 connected to the lower end of the slant, a protrusion 3 extending in the vertical direction to the outlet of the finishing oil spray nozzle 2 o the upward slant 4 or from the vicinity of the outlet to the lower end of the upward slant 4 or to the vicinity of the lower end is set and the finishing oil sprayed from the outlet is led to the yarn contact face 5.
