摘要 PURPOSE:To furthermore improve the strength, wear resistance and conformability by specifying the constituents of the main body and chamfer of a synchronizing ring and the porosity of said chamfer. CONSTITUTION:The main body and chamfer 2 of the synchronizing ring consist of, by weight, 0.1-0.9% C and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities (the total of Si, S and P is regulated to <=0.5%) and the porosity of the chamfer 2 is regulated to 0.05-5vol.%. One or more kinds of 0.2-8% Ni and Cu and/or 0.02-0.5% B can be furthermore added to the above-mentioned compsn. at need. In this synchronizing ring, any characteristics among at least the strength, wear resistance and conformability are deteriorated when any requirements of the constitutional requirements are deviated from the above-mentioned areas. Since the titled ring has the high strength and particularly the chamfer has the excellent wear resistance and conformability with the objective members, it can sufficiently correspond to the high outputting, thinning accompanied by light weight and miniaturization of a transmission.
