The invention relates to a vehicle light whose reflector focuses the light leaving a filament and directs it onto an optical pane which is provided with a plurality of cylindrical lenses which are arranged side by side and run vertically. In order to be able to deflect the light more precisely and to reduce the scattering (dispersion) in particular in the lateral regions of the cylindrical lenses, these cylindrical lenses are designed to be multifaceted. For this purpose, the lens surface, seen in cross-section, no longer runs arcuately, but is composed of several sections, the result being a lens surface having a plurality of faces. These faces are at such an angle to one another that the light figures formed by neighbouring faces adjoin or slightly overlap one another.
