<p>A strand granulator, preferably for the granulation of plastics, in which the stationary counter-blade can be replaced by a new counter-blade without interruption of the granulation operation. This prevents deterioration of the cutting quality, and hence of the granule shape, due to wear of the counter-blade, or downtime during blade changes. The counter-blade (2) is guided in a backlash-free guiding mechanism parallel to the direction of feed of the strands (3), and is advanced at a low speed or replaced by a new counter-blade (2') during the granulation operation.</p> |
