PROCESS FOR SEPARATION OF RARE EARTHS

Rare-earth elements present in aqueous solutions are separated using a solvent by a process which consists in performing a liquid- liquid extraction between an aqueous phase containing the rare-earth nitrates and an organic phase, characterised in that a mixture of organophosphorus compounds is used as extraction agent.
