PURPOSE:To simplify a process and to improve the matching strength of both cores by matching a recording reproducing side half core and an erasing side half core at both sides of a center core and obtaining a combination magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A center core 40 of a three layer structure to sandwich, spread and match a spacer 31 composed of a nonmagnetic material with a pair of I type half cores 15B and 25B composed of an oxide magnetic body is used, a C type half core 11 at the recording reproducing side a C type half core 21 at the erasing side are matched on both sides of the center core 40, and on the matching surface, a recording reproducing gap 12 and an erasing gap 22 are formed. Thus, the integration of the recording reproducing side head and the erasing side head can be executed at the forming process, the process can be simplified, the center core block is also formed by the spreading and matching of the nonmagnetic material and the oxide magnetic body, and therefore, the matching strength between both is also improved.
