PURPOSE:To enhance the resonance and supercharging effect by conducting intake-supply to each cylinder of both right and left banks through a pair of slendar, independent intake pipes arranged in the central space of the V-banks, thereby making both upper and down streams of both independent intake pipes mutually connectable at the pressure reversing part. CONSTITUTION:In an engine in which the first and the second cylinder groups consisting of cylinders 2a, 2c, and 2e in addition to cylinders 2b, 2d and 2f, all of which are out of the sequence in their firing order are installed on both right and left banks 1L and 1R, both of which are off set in the direction of the crank shaft, intake ports 3a to 3f of each cylinder 2a to 2f are opened toward the central space of the V-banks. Two, independent intake pipes 11L and 11R, which are branched from a common intake pipe 10, are arranged in this V-shaped space, and intake ports 3a to 3f are connected to each independent intake pipes 11L and 11R via short, branched intake pipes 12a to 12f. In addition, each independent intake pipes 11L and 11R can be connected at both upper and down streams via pressure reversing parts 14 and 15, both of which are provided with closing valves 14b and 15b, respectively.
