PURPOSE:To simplify call operability and to improve the call operability of an operator by obtaining the number information of a communication channel connected to a second communicating opposite out of the number information of a communication channel of a first communicating opposite by a secondary call control means, and making a call to the second opposite in accordance with said number information. CONSTITUTION:During a facsimile transmission/reception, if an operator depresses the secondary call key of a telephone set part 41 in order to speak with the opposite that is currently communicating by facsimile, a facsimile equipment 40 shifts to primary call control. That, from a dial memory 45, the communication channel number of the opposite facsimile equipment part currently communicating is read out, and based on this number, a channel number setting part 46 generates the communication channel number of the opposite of the communication. In such a case that another independent communication is desired to be executed with the communication opposite currently communicating, the call is automatically made only if the secondary call key is operated, therefore, the operation accompanying the secondary call of an operator can be remarkably simplified.
